Sign-in and Account Issues
The most common authentication problems and how to fix them.
"Invalid email or password"
The sign-in form rejected your credentials. Possibilities:
- Typo in the password. Click the eye icon to make the password visible while you re-type.
- Email is on a different account. If you've signed up with both Google OAuth and email/password, both share the same account — but the password field only works for the email/password method. If you originally signed up with Google, click Continue with Google instead.
- Caps Lock. Browser password fields don't show a Caps Lock warning by default. Toggle it off and retype.
If still rejected after retyping, click Forgot password? and use the reset flow.
Forgot password reset link didn't arrive
- Check spam / promotions folder
- Look for sender
noreply@nyquest.ai - Wait up to 5 minutes — most emails arrive in <30 seconds but can be delayed
- If still nothing, the email might not be on file. Try a different email or talk to a real human
The reset link expires after 1 hour. If you click an expired link, just request a new one.
Reset link says "expired" or "invalid"
Reset links are single-use and expire after 1 hour. Common causes:
- You requested a reset, then requested another. Only the latest one works.
- You opened the link more than 1 hour after the email arrived. Request a new one.
- You opened the link in a different browser. Reset links are tied to the session that requested them. Open in the same browser where you requested.
"Account locked" or repeated rejections
After 5 failed sign-in attempts in 15 minutes, the account is rate-limited (not locked permanently). Wait 15 minutes and try again with the correct password, or use the password reset flow.
If you suspect someone else is trying to access your account, talk to a real human immediately. We can review recent sign-in attempts.
Google OAuth fails with "redirect_uri_mismatch"
Rare but happens. The OAuth redirect URL doesn't match what's registered on Google's side.
- Try using a different browser
- Make sure you're going through
app.nyquest.ai/loginnot a stale cached URL - If persistent, talk to a real human — this is on our side to fix
Account exists but I can't reach the password reset email
If the email associated with your account no longer works (you lost access to it):
- Talk to a real human using a different email
- Provide proof of ownership: when you signed up (approx), recent activity (last login, recent conversation topics, wallet activity)
- We can help recover access after verification — typically 24-48 hours
I want to delete my account entirely
Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account triggers permanent deletion:
- All conversations, projects, artifacts, memories and API keys are purged immediately, along with every file you generated in the Studios (images, audio, music, video) — there is no 24-hour window in which to change your mind
- Unspent wallet balance is not refunded. Deletion is blocked while you hold a balance, and the only way through is to permanently waive it. Email legal@nyquest.ai for a refund before you delete
- Email freed up so you (or anyone) could re-register with it later
Deletion is permanent. There's no undo. Export your data first via Settings → Account → Export all data if you want to keep records.
Can I share an account?
We don't recommend it. Each Nyquest account is single-user — there's no concept of organization seats or shared logins. Sharing your password violates basic security and risks all of:
- BYOK keys getting exposed
- Conversations and memory mixing across people
- Wallet getting drained without your visibility
- Account suspension if abuse detection flags multiple-IP usage
If you want multiple people on one billing relationship, talk to a real human — there might be a workable arrangement, but it's not built into the product yet.
Where to next
- Sign Up — initial account creation flow
- Wallet and Funds — billing-related issues
- Contacting Support — when self-serve doesn't work
